i’d like to think that all of these drawings are part of one big drawing that you could assemble together and it would tell a story.
i don’t really think that. but in my attempts to compose a sustainable narrative this sort of happened. which means, if you think about it, all my drawings come from failures. which would be interesting if it were not so depressing.
but let me change the subject (you can skip this part if you’d like) and talk about brushes. but, really, i just want to talk about how much i hate brushes, but i love using them, but every one i buy totally sucks, even a stupid winsor & newton series 7 sable brush which is supposed to be, i don’t know, so great (says the kid who sold it to me but then admitted he’s never used one because they’re so expensive) but i could not find greatness in it all because it just does what all other brushes have been doing to me lately which is splitting at the tip.
so now i’m basically at the point of just cutting off my hands and using the bloody stumps of my wrists to draw because, for me, that would be something different.
now i know why when people reblog this stuff, they cut out all the information and just post the image. it’s all my fault.
seriously, though, i’m pretty bummed out about the brush situation.
